Women's professional football will have a new member, in 2016. The Woodlands Wildcats will join the league, for their inagural season. With a new team comes a new coach. Laura Cantu, was named Vice President and Head Coach, on August 10, 2015. Tonight we will talk to Laura about taking on the venture of starting an expansion team.
Laura has been involved in professional sports since 2003. She was the quarterback of the Houston Energy from 2003 until this past season. In between her playing career, she was a marketing associate with the Houston Rockets. Along with having marketing roles, in the NFL. She worked with the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Houston Texans. Before assuming her new role, she has served as a marketing assistant for the Houston Dynamo, of the MLS.
