In this episode of The Red Light Sports Ramble, presented by The Red Light Sports Network, Evan Witalison and Troy Otradovec will discuss the Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions.  The winner will claim the NFC North Division title, and host a playoff game.  The Green Bay Packers could possibly clinch home field advantage, with some help.  However, is the division title necessary?

The NFC North has been in existence, for 12 years.  No division winner has won the Super Bowl, and only the 2006 Chicago Bears went, to the Super Bowl.  Since winning the Super Bowl, in 1996, the Green Bay Packers have won eight division titles.  The only time they went back to the Super Bowl, was the following year in 2007.  Therefore, the last seven times they won the division, the have been eliminated; from the playoffs, before making the Super Bowl.

One of the Packers four losses, has been to the Detroit Lions.  The defense played well, and a sluggish offense allowed more point, than they scored. A fumble return for a touchdown, and a safety accounted for nine of the Lions 19 points.  The defense held Matthew Stafford, without a touchdown pass, and forced two interceptions.  However, Aaron Rodgers was held to 162 yards passing, and was sacked two times.  Listen in and call the show.
