Former NCAA Head Coach and NFL Player Cecil Youngblood

We are excited to announce that former collegiate Head Coach, All-American Player, and professional athlete Cecil Youngblood will be a featured guest on the Real Sports Guys on our April 10^th show. Currently an Assistant Dean at the Beloit College, Cecil has enjoyed a distinguished career in both athletics and academia. The former football and basketball All-American at Augustana College played in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs before embarking in a coaching career that included being the head basketball coach at Beloit College from 1997-2007. Recently inducted to the Quad City Irish Rugby Hall of Fame, Cecil is the author of Training Day, which is featured on this website above. Training Day documents his journey of attempting to make a NFL roster as an undrafted rookie. In addition to his responsibilities at Beloit College, Cecil also has served as the head coach of the Rock County Robins, Back-to-Back (2010 & 2011) National Champion women’s basketball squad.
