Carroll Jr., known professionally as Mykii J, is an American singer-songwriter, rapper, poet, and published author. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, he gained public recognition after releasing the books ``The Dichotomy Between Light and Dark” (2019), “Songs of an Indomitable Spirit” (2020), and the freestyles ``Whole Lotta Choppas'' (2020), “Holiday” (2020), and “Body” (2020). Mykii was a semi-finalist in Radio.com’s 2021 “Opening Act '' Music Competition, which is a national competition where the winner is selected by public voting. His debut album “Music 4 Mutants, Vol. 1” was released in Summer 2021 and is gaining attention from independent bloggers, DJ’s and music lovers alike.
