Black Socialite

ABOUT OUR GUEST

Yakiri Thomas is a southern girl with southern charm, and a Sports Enthusiast especially for her home teams (Hawks, Braves, Falcons, UGA and GA Tech.) Born in Decatur, GA and into a preacher’s family, she realized her creative side at a young age by creating stories and songs at the age of 8.
In 2008, Yakiri found herself at a crossroads with her career. Soon after, she became reacquainted with what came natural, which was writing. Within months, her first novel, "Black Socialite" was written followed by "Too Far to Turn Back: Tales of a Preachers Kid." With several other novels in the works, her new career as an author has now begun.
Yakiri is an advocate for Alzheimer's Research. She currently resides in Atlanta with her husband, their four beautiful children, and Leo, their Maltipoo dog.
