As an Entrepreneur, I assume the role of a Leader. Leaders identify, measure, recognize, and reward meaningful efforts and achievements—and celebrate often with the people involved. Why should managers and leaders celebrate more? Creating a feeling of celebration helps meet people’s needs for inclusion, innovation, appreciation, and collaboration.  However, when there is no one to celebrate with, you either hire people to form your team or change your culture by providing a service that creates that change in culture. As an Entrepreneur, I assume the role of a Leader. Sadly, many individuals, teams, and organizations operate in a perpetual state of distrust and fear. Consider this simple analogy: a door guards the entrance to our inner self.  When we feel trust, we readily open that door, leading to an exchange of thoughts, feelings and dreams with someone else. When we distrust someone, thinking that he or she is somehow a threat, we slam our door quickly and begin to defend ourselves.

Every conversation you have with your child can either open up their future or close it down. The choice is yours – and the life is theirs! Use wisdom not force to release greatness. Allow them to rise above what is expected and free them to fly, dream and explore – and when they do they will the world will be a greater place for all of us!
