Our Guest: Steve Ly is one of the candidates for EGUSD School Board Trustee Area 6. The Area 6 seat is presently held by Jacob Rambo.
Ly is a local educator. He previously ran for the school board in 2002 and he applied for the Area 6 seat last spring after Trustee Pam Irey resigned due to health issues. Rambo was appointed by the board at that time.
Ly publicly criticized the Board of Trustees in a quote by the Elk Grove Citizen at his campaign kickoff event last week.
“You have the fighting that’s going on, and at the same time the ones who should be at the helm have forgotten that the bottom line here is we have to provide for our students,” he said.
