Episode 74 | May 13, 2016: The Suspension Cometh

We made sure to record the 74th episode of the Purple Dinosaur Podcast prior to the official news about Jose Reyes's discipline coming down. That was smart of us. BUT we still have all kinds of talk about Jose Reyes, the potential of offloading him and/or his contract, and how the trade looks now.

It's mid-May, and the Colorado Rockies are hanging around in the National League West due to a strange season of baseball in which they're good on the road and terrible at home. So that makes sense. We'll try to explain why, but it's a tough question to tackle.

Outside of Colorado, Troy Tulowitzki and Corey Dickerson have not been what a neutral observer would call "good" this season. Is it possible the Rockies knew what they were doing with both trades? We'll debate and discuss as well as look at where Colorado's return currently is form those deals.

Plus Rockies first baseman/outfielder Benjamin Paulsen joins the show! Shortly after we recorded, he was sent down to Triple-A Albuquerque. Sorry, Ben. We'll take the blame for that.
