Being Born Again

1Peter describes what it means to be save, to be born again. We cannot be saved and inherit heaven from our own actions except to conscientiously repent, deny our own lives and take up the cross for Jesus.  In our Salvation we have in Jesus Christ by his dying on the cross for us, he are given the Holy Spirit.  The rest of Peter's letter to believers in Christ tells us how we should live our lives once we are born again.  Not of the flesh but of the spirit and water.
