In this episode, producer/host Nicholas Snow welcomes Michael C. Green of The Palm Springs Cultural center to discuss the history of the center, as well as highlights of the 2012/2013 season.

The Palm Springs Cultural Center was established in 2008 to encourage the development of the cultural arts in the Coachella Valley with a specific focus in the areas of film, fine art, live performance, dance, music, and community festivals. The Center is dedicated to advancing education, to nurturing community-wide participation in the cultural arts, and to sponsoring scholarship awards for deserving individuals.

Among the events and activities produced, promoted or supported by the Palm Springs Cultural Center are the Certified Farmer’s Market; Cinema Diverse—The Palm Springs Gay and Lesbian Film Festival; The Arthur Lyons Palm Springs Film Noir Festival; the American Documentary Film Festival; the Earth Matters Screening Series; and special stand-alone film premieres and engagements, such as the premiere and initial theatrical run of Del Shores’ new film Blues for Willadean.
