SnowbizNow with Nicholas Snow. "Small screen. Big queen. Worldwide audience!"

Joining the show today, Serge Gojkovich, Grindr’s VP of Marketing.  Founded in 2009, Grindr is the premier all-male geo-social network that uses location-based technologies to bring together a global community of more than 4 million users in 192 countries. Since its launch, Grindr has become a worldwide sensation and garnered tremendous media attention.

The concept for the app came to Founder and Chief Executive Officer Joel Simkhai in 2008. Throughout his life, he had been looking for a better way to meet the people around him. After countless missed connections and lost opportunities, he set out on a mission to discover a new way to socialize in real-time with those nearby. With the second-generation iPhone launch, combining GPS technology and application development for the mobile platform, the pieces came together to bring Simkhai’s concept to life.
