Joining Project Empowerment is Kimberly Taylor. We will be discussing Women Who Abuse Men. Kimberly is an author, educator, consultant, therapist and speaker on the issue of Intimate Partner Abuse. She has worked in the field of child abuse and neglect for the last 22 years. She is currently the Director of the Alternatives to Domestic Violence Outreach office in Corona California and the Clinic Manager of the Corona Counseling Connection. Kim wrote the grant for the ADV Anger Management and Batterers Treatment Program in 2002 and has had direct oversight to the largest Batterer’s Treatment Program in western Riverside County for the last eight years reaching approximately 1200 people every year in the program. She received her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology in 2004. In 2005, she received the Woman of Distinction Award in the area of Economic and Social Development in honor of her achievements toward making a difference for women in the city of Corona presented by Soroptimist International of Corona. She developed the theory of the womens cycle of violence.
