The Lord in speaking about Ephraim says in Hosea 7:8: "Ephraim is a cake not turned."
A cake not turned is uncooked on one side; and so Ephraim was, in many respects, untouched by divine grace: though there was some partial obedience, there was very much rebellion left.
What is the question today then that we each must ask ourselves: Is this my case? Am I half-baked? Am I thorough in the things of God? Have I allowed the grace of God to go through the very center of my being so as to be felt in its divine operations in all my powers, my actions, my words, and my thoughts? Is His Presence evident in my life day in and day out...not just on Sundays or Mondays or Tuesdays or whenever is suits my fancy or is convenient for me...or as it is with so many...when "Mr. Need More" shows up...when I am needy, when I am in trouble, when I am on my bed of affliction?
To be sanctified--that is clean, pure and set aside for the Lord's use testifies to the fact that we can profess and hopefully possess a relationship with God, such that we are His and His ours. Even as we say or sing the song, "I give myself away so you can use me" -- Do we really allow God to use us or is our practice one where we try to use Him?
Call in and join in the discussion...call in and testify to the marvelous works of God in your life such that you are no longer HALF-BAKED!!
