Prayer is one of the most powerful weapons God has given us. And today more than ever it is important that we get on our knees and develop a prayer life. It has been said that many individuals especially Christians do not know how to pray. It is also not alway easy to pray especially when one is going through a storm.

Prayer is powerful and it should not be underestimated. James 5:16-18 declares , "The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective," God most definately listens to our prayers. He answers prayers and move in response to prayers. This is how we communicate with God. However, the problem is many individuals present their request to God and the response could be yes, no, or wait. However it appears that when such happens and the response is not what the person wants to hear or receive such has caused many indiviudals to become angry at God as well as doubt the power of prayer. Philippians 4:6-7 declares do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving let your request be made know to God.

There are benefits to having a prayer life. It has also been proven that prayer works and have a positive psysiological effect. There are different types of prayer.
