It's not just about words. There are beliefs, feelings, and experiences guiding the motives and expectations for our conversations. Have you ever had the feeling that what you’re hearing is more than just words? I think we’ve all been aware at one time or another that what is being shared with us has an agenda, a twist, a double meaning beyond the information that we’re hearing. Maybe we cannot put our finger on what it is and one thing is for certain; the person who is talking is conveying more than their words tell. I know there have been times when I had an agenda and chose my words carefully to protect the outcome I was in search of. Did the person I was speaking to hear my agenda?
