Domestic Violence; When Does The Healing Begin?

Brotha,
I watched my Mama being beaten for a couple of years in my childhood, an as a child I swore that I'd get bigger an kill that cat for what he was doing to Mama!
At the age of 26 I gave up trying to communicate with the young lady I was in a relationship with...an I hit her. Fam, I wanted to die in that moment! I wanted her to let go of me! I wanted her to leave me because I didn't have the power to leave her!! I wanted the pain and lack of abilities to trust and be responsible to stop!!!
Today I admit this because it is my prayer that we as a Family will Strive To Speak Out and Speak Up when it comes to this dis/ease! Nobody deserves to be the adult victim of a person who wants to control them or punish them because of ones own self inflicted mental torture...
Please help me encourage everyone who is willing to Come to Together to discuss this as Mature & Healing Family Members.
Brotha, I need you all to help our younger generations by admitting that many of us have committed this ugly act...for whatever reasons. Let us Heal our Lands through an open act of sharing the hurt that hurt others. I will do it alone if I got to, but I refuse to keep letting us men act like we can get away with this without an OPEN APOLOGIES SESSION...in Love & Service Hest Aden
