Geovannimarcel is a spoken word artist and activist. She started writing at the age of 9 and started doing activist work at the age of 14 when she spoke as a representative for the foster care system of Tn in Washington DC. According to everyone who knew her while she was growing up in bad conditions she has completely beaten all statistics for a child in her situation. She is a mother of 5 beautiful children and a mother of 2 angels who were stillborn on Dec 18 1998. She is a survivior of domestic violence and mental abuse. She is also living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from witnessing an atonishing 4 murders in her lifeime, two of which she witnessed just 6 months apart in 2008. These murders happened in her neighborhood and because no one else would, she stepped in to try to save the lives of both victims but both people died shortly after arriving at the hospital. She then had to save the lives of her two teenage boys due to gang members trying to kill them on a daily basis for witnessing the murders and talking to the police about it. Her then 13 year old son helped the police to quickly apprehend the murderers of the first victim, a 24 year old mother of three. Even though the police would do nothing to help with the constant harrassment and threats that went as far as the gang members pulling out guns more than 5 times a week on Geovannimarcel and her family and busting out the windows to her home to gain access, Geovannimarcel still worked with an organization calle AIM to help stop the violence in the neighborhood until it got to be too dangerous and then she moved her family 600 miiles away back to her hometown in TN where there is no opportunity anywhere to be seen.
