Just about every observer in the New York Jets rookie camp last season was able to see that quarterback GJ Kinne outplayed Matt Simms – everyone that is except former Jets GM Mike Tannebaum. After beginning his career at Texas, Kinne transferred to Tulsa, where he started three seasons for the Golden Hurricane. Nearly 9,500 passing yards, over 1,300 rushing yards and 96 total touchdowns later, he found himself earning MVP Honors in the 2012 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. Since his Jets stint, Kinne has since played for the Omaha Nighthawks of the UFL and is currently preparing for the upcoming AFL season as a member of the San Antonio Talons. His story to overcome adversity, stay focused and still pursue his dreams will fascinate you! Tune-in and hear for yourself in this edition of the Player Spotlight Show.
