Here is a little known fact about pain:  It does not exist in the injured area.  Pain only exists in the brain.

Signals are sent by special nerve endings in the injured or diseased area and travel up the spinal cord to the brain. It is only after your interprets those signals that you feel pain.

Pain is a survival tool.  It is a signal that something is wrong.  Sometimes, though, pain itself becomes the problem.  The doctors did or are doing everything they can to fix the condition that is causing the pain.  The pain has done its job.  But it just won't go away.

There are many reasons for persisting pain.  There are many drugs to dull it.  However, drugs have side-effects.  Pain medication can dull all your senses, make you feel tired and drowsy, and put you into a stupor.  And many of them are addicting.

Sometimes pain can be so bad that it requires surgery to cut or burn nerves or to implant a pain blocking device inside the body.

What if there were a way to use your own brain to interpret those signals in a way that lessens or eliminates the pain? It could be a breakthrough!  It could allow you to cut down on or do away with pain medication.  It could permit you to do things you have not been able to do in years.

Roxborough chiropractor, Dr. Anthony Galzarano will interview well-known hypnotherapist Bryan Toder on how hypnotherapy works in general, and specifically, how it may help you better deal with chronic pain.

The show will be informative AND entertaining.

Don't miss it.
