Do you suffer from pain during intercourse? Many women report some sort of pain or discomfort with intercourse, whether it is with initial penetration, during, or after. This can be a very emotional thing for women to deal with and many suffer in silence. Fortunately, with the appropriate support team, there are treatments that can alleviate or completely eliminate the pain. Today's show will discuss the anatomy of the pelvic floor muscles, common diagnoses associated with painful intercourse in women, possible causes of the pain, tips to decrease the pain, and treatment options. Please join me today as we discuss this sensitive issue that affects so many women. I welcome any questions or comments that you may have related to sexual pain. I am a Physical Therapist that treats the pelvic floor, and I work with patients who suffer from sexual dysfunctions on a daily basis. I hope you enjoy the show and find the information useful.
