Rena Romano author of "Puppet No More" talks about her Book

Rena Groom-Romano thrived for eighteen-plus-years in a very successful sales and marketing career within the construction industry. Like so many other dedicated Americans she was affected by the economic downturn of modern times and in 2006 she was permanently laid off.

She met the challenge head on by beginning a new career as an autobiographical author and public speaker. To perfect her speaking skills, Rena became a member of Toastmasters International in 2007. The skills and abilities she gained have since instilled in her the confidence to develop her business as a Presentation Skills Instructor and Speaking Coach and to publicly share her story of child abuse as an inspirational speaker.

Rena also enjoys sharing her time at the PACE Center for Girls of Lee County, Florida as a volunteer and mentor. A portion of the proceeds of the book, will benefit two charities committed to the end of child abuse. www.pacecenter.org/lee and www.rainbirdfoundation.org
