Vicki Wayne is the current Division G Governor for her district in Florida. She will tell us how Toastmasters, a public speaking and leadership orgnazition can help you overcome your fear of public speaking.

I never imagined the journey I would travel when I visited my first Toastmaster meeting in February 2008.I was welcomed with open arms; everyone’s kindness helped put me at ease.
 
Within a few weeks I presented my first speech … then my second … third … I was having a great time.
 
The last 3 years have been exciting and fulfilling.I have:
 
Achieved DTM – Distinguished Toastmaster
Sponsored Jabil Toastmasters
Club officer – President (Jabil), VPE & VPPR (Tampa Bay), VPM (President’s Club)
Area 73 Governor – President’s Distinguished Area
Assisted with planning of spring and fall conferences

One of the greatest experiences has been working with club members, and as an Area Governor working with the clubs.I love to see members grow as speakers & leaders.
