Information for Veteran Caregivers

VOW Talk Radio interviews VeteranCaregiver.com founder, Linda Kreter.  The website was launched in May 2010, in tandem with the  Caregiver legislation and has rapidly evolved directly from user feedback. At VeteranCaregiver.com you can find tailored resources based on your profile, the latest legislative updates and hearing schedule, communicate through private or public means (email, Forum, Message Boards, LiveChat, Blog, phone), contact your Senators/Representatives, connect with caregivers who may or may not be familiar with the military prior to becoming a caregiver, learn about spotlighted organizations, and also connect through general social networking sites for additional contact. 

Listen to the interview with Dr. Caitlin Thompson, who oversees the clinical side of the Veterans Crisis Line.  Dr. Thompson explains what the Veterans Crisis Line is - and also talks about how family members of veterans can also use their services.  The Veteran Crisis Line can also be used so you can talk to someone when you are having PTSD issues, or if a military spouse has a deployed husband or a husband in the military and she just needs someone to listen
