Host Pastor Deon Atkinson, Sr. Pastor of the New Bethany Family Worship Center, in Las Vegas, NV Pastor Deon’s ministry began at the young age of 16. From the very first time he stepped behind a pulpit it was evident that God had a mighty calling on this young man’s life. 21 years of age, he began pastoring the Bethany Baptist Church, which his father and mother had founded; God used him to do many things to take the ministry to another level; beginning with the changing of the name from the Bethany Baptist Church to the New Bethany Family Worship Center. Coming out from under the Baptist banner proved to be quite a challenge but being convinced that God never intended a church divided by denominations, but rather a place where God would show himself mighty and turn many lives around was the order of the day. The first of four siblings he is a fourth generation Man of God. Educated by Parents and Grandparents, in the ways of God from birth, he has grown into a Man after God’s own heart. Seeking a greater education of the word of God he enrolled in college, but was only able to attend for a short time because of his father’s passing. Even though he later attended a number of Christian schools to learn more about His Lord, God has seen fit to educate him personally through the teachings and unction of the Holy Spirit. Pastor Deon would be the first to tell you this has not been an easy journey, but one well worth all its trials and tribulations. God has blessed our Pastor to walk in gifts that build up and uplift His body, the church. Service after service he pours himself out to the people, speaking a prophetic word into the lives of those who want the Blessed Savior. He is blessed to have been married to our Co-Pastor Seneca Atkinson for over 25 years and is the father of four, 3 boys & 1 girl. He is also a spiritual father to many more whom God has brought into his life to affirm
