Join us for a conversation with Koert Wehberg, Staff Attorney at Disability Rights Network of Pennsylvania, about the right for students with disabilities to receive appropriate supports in post-secondary education, and school districts to provide the necessary transition services so that they are prepared for the challenges of a world that extends beyond the brick walls of their high schools.

Read a recent article Kort authored for The Legal Intelligencer on the topic here

Koert received his law degree from the Syracuse University College of Law in 2008 with a certificate in Disability Law and Policy. He was the recipient of a prestigious two-year Equal Justice Works Fellowship after law school, allowing him to represent low-income people of color with disabilities in general accessibility, fair housing and employment discrimination matters in New York City at New York Lawyers for the Public Interest (NYLPI).  Koert stayed at NYLPI as a staff attorney through 2011 when he then joined the Disability Rights Network of Pennsylvania where he represents children with disabilities in special education and other discrimination matters.

PA Independent Living Radio Show is brought to you every Friday at 12:00 pm EDT/EST by The Arc of Luzerne County. Please consider a donation in support of our work to help improve the quality of life for people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and their families.
