February is Black History Month.

Each week we have discussed The Black Agenda and covered several topics. All those areas plus more need work but the number 1 agenda item is one Black people have to do for themselves.

If Men and Women are to be two equal parts that come together as one then the number 1 thing to improve the condition of the Black Woman and Black Man should be improving how both relate to each other.

A part of the discussion is what it is like to raise a single child as a single parent from the point of view of the female parent raising a Black boy. What it is like to grow up as the child of a single parent and the impacts it has on how that child view relationship, Mother, Father, Women, Men, Womanhood and Fatherhood.

Our Opening show poem 'Orphans,' was performed by LaToya Thurman-Springer (Toya J).  Let us know how you liiked it and if you identify with her words.

Please dial (347) 826-9600 to comment ask a question or to just listen in.
