Triad Pictures presents yet another episode of Other People's Eyes. Special Guest Singer/Songwriter Allison Weiss!!! Throughout high school Allison played in a few metal and punk bands before being introduced to “emo” music and picking up an acoustic guitar. She moved to Athens, GA in 2005 for school and became a solo act. She developed a unique style of indiepopfolkrock with clever lyrics, catchy hooks, and an unavoidable message of hopeless hope. She released her first record in 2007 and played countless shows in Athens and the surrounding areas. I performed live on WUOG, WUGA, and in Virtual Reality via SecondLife.com. She opened for The Early November, played in the 500 Songs For Kids Benefit concert in Atlanta, and performed at AthFest 2007. She was nominated Best Solo Performer in the Flagpole Athens Music Awards, and she has traveled over 4,000 miles on self-booked tours. Her song “The End” was featured in American Songwriter Magazine’s monthly lyric contest. In March 2009 she was named Southeastern Campus Music Fest champion, This year so far she has toured the pacific northwest, rocked New York and Los Angeles, appeareSped on the front page of Billboard.com, and raised over $6,000 through donations to record her new album, due out this fall. She enthusiastically blogs, uses twitter, facebook, myspace, and joins every social networking site you've heard of. She makes her own music videos and does all her own design. Triad Pictures presents yet another episode of Other People's Eyes. Noe Venable- Noe Venable is a singer-songwriter, composer, and poet. Having honed her songwriting and musicianship within the context of San Francisco’s rich experimental and jazz music scene, Venable has gone on to wider recognition through the release of five albums, as well as national tours opening for artists from Ani DiFranco to They Might be Giants. Venable has shared stages with artists as diverse as Patti Smith, Gillian Welch, Robyn Hitchcock, Carla Bozulich and Tom McRae. More recent collaborators include bassist Todd Sickafoose, violinist Alan Lin, guitarist Nels Cline, (Wilco), and avant garde marimba virtuoso, Payton MacDonald, (Alarm Will Sound). At present, her live ensemble features pianist / vocalist Greta Gertler and cellist / vocalist Yair Evnine. As well as performing her own music, Venable often sings on the projects of others. She can be heard on albums by Ani DiFranco, John Vanderslice, Faun Fables, and Vienna Teng. Film credits include Cherish, by Finn Taylor, which used Venable's songs in its score and soundtrack. Venable is also a teacher committed to empowering young people through the arts. A passionate believer in the capability of imagination to liberate, Venable has taught creative writing, songwriting, theater and visual arts, working with youth ages nine to nineteen in a variety of settings. In service of this dimension of her work, she holds a masters degree in education from Harvard Divinity School. She has also started work on a new album, for release in 2010.

The Other People's Eyes Presents Special Guest Comedian Steve Mingolla

Triad Pictures presents yet another episode of Other People's Eyes. They call him the “The Nice Guy”. They’ve always called him that. Steve Mingolla never met a person he didn’t like. His act is a definite burst of New York attitude mixed in with a bit of Southern hospitality. An annual talent contest was about to take place at the college and Steve was encouraged to enter as a comedian by his acting coach. The thrill of making an audience laugh had him hooked. Stand-up comedy would forever change his life. That following year, Steve dropped out of college and moved to Hollywood, CA to follow his bliss. He landed a job as a doorman at the “World Famous” Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip. It was there that he worked with and learned from comics such as Dennis Miller, Louie Anderson, Gary Shandling, Sam Kinison and Lenny Clark, just to name a few. Steve stays busy touring forty plus weeks a year all over the U.S. He’s done numerous television commercials, syndicated radio shows, corporate events, charities, military installations in Europe, comedy clubs and civic auditoriums. He has also appeared on TNN, Comedy Central, Liars and Legends and Showtime. “I don’t like to mention it, but I was also a losing contestant on both ‘The Dating Game’ and ‘Love Connection’ back when I was just getting started.” Along with his associate Vinnie “The Hit Man” Coppola, you can hear their song ‘The Wise Guys 12 Days of Christmas’ on satellite radio. Steve has also had record sales of his t-shirt, sporting a line from his show…”I got spanked, look how I turned out.” And, he is currently working on an untitled book regarding famous quotes and can be seen on Comcast Cable’s Comedy on Demand.
