Sam Goody on 30 Min Run Down

Samuel Wesley Ody, III, “Sam Goody,” was born in Queens, New York, to Nathaniel Ody, Jr. and Geraldine Spears.  His mother currently resides in Queens, NY and his father relocated to Summerville, SC. In the mid ‘90’s, during his 5th grade school year, Sam met his best friend, now “brother in Christ,” Justin Lewis.  Sam fell in love with music and later started rapping with Justin and some other friends.  Sam grew up in the church, but later strayed from the ways of Christ while attending Allen University in Columbia, SC, along with Justin, also known as “Jus Listen.”  He and Justin began writing music for the world, but never strayed far from God’s conviction that they should be writing music for the Kingdom of God.  While at Allen University, Sam met and married his wife, LeKesha Renee Pearson and later had their first of two children: Samaria Bell Ody.  In 2009, Sam rededicated his life to Christ and began to convince Jus Listen and other friends to perform music for God and not be lukewarm; this is when Full Throttle for God (F.T.F.G.) was born with their first song entitled, “God’s Love is Unconditional.
