Join Stacey Mangiaracinai as she talks to Sarah M. Balcomb & Libby Flores about the PEN EMERGING VOICES anthology "STRANGE CARGO, Sarah M. Balcomb was born in New York, grew up elsewhere, and received her MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia University. Her short fiction has appeared in 5-Trope, Bite Magazine, Both Magazine, Drunken Boat, McSweeney’s, Opium Magazine, and Pindeldyboz, among others. She has written two unpublished novels and is working on a screenplay. She lives in Los Angeles, where she is Digital Media Manager for PEN USA. Libby Flores was born in Texas and moved to Los Angeles 11 years ago because it seemed like a good idea. She was chosen as one of eight writers in the US to receive the PEN Emerging Voices Fellowship in 2008. Her short story “For Celia” was nominated for a UCLA James Kirkwood Award. She has contributed to Slash Magazine and also written a series of one-act plays that have been produced in L.A..
