We are talking with Linda J Alexander and celebrating the re-release of Ms. Alexander’s book … “Reluctant Witness; Robert Taylor-Hollywood and Communism”, on Thursday, June 9, at 1:00 pm EDT!

Many remember Robert Taylor as one of the most handsome and debonair actors during the “Golden Era” of Hollywood.  But few remember him as the very real “reluctant witness” during the House Un-American Activities Committee hearings, during which numerous actors, writers and directors were blacklisted for alleged Communist ties

Who were the three names that Robert Taylor (while never actually calling them Communists) finally “gave up” during the hearings?  What effect did these hearings have on Taylor’s personal life and his acting career?

Linda J. Alexander will be sharing her thoughts on this, as well as talking about the many sides of Robert Taylor … and, of course … all of his “women” … like Ava Gardner and Barbara Stanwyck … and so many others.

Whether you remember the enigmatic Robert Taylor or not, you will find yourself wanting to hear more about him, after this show!

Call in and join the conversation at 323-792-3071!
