The Roller Derby has rolled its way into the house and is crushing the air waves on Saturday, July 6, 2013!

Debbie is talking to the Roller Derby’s Commissioner, the one and only … the legendary … Jerry Seltzer. Jerry will be sharing the history of Roller Derby, which was created by his dad, Leo Seltzer in 1935 and his own personal experiences after taking over management in 1958.  You are about to enter the mad whirl of the Roller Derby and it’s evolution to present time.  You can “bank” on some great stories about the legends of Roller derby … like Joan Weston, Charlie O’Connell, Gerry Murray, Midge “Toughie” Brasuhn, Ann Calvello, Josephine “Ma” Bogash, Billy Bogash, Tony Roman, and Carol “Peanuts” Meyer, Mike Gammon … and so many more.

We are also going to be talking with skaters of today, already well on their way to being tomorrow’s legends, as well!

The phones lines will be heating up with calls from skaters … past and present … and listeners are welcome to call in and speak with “the Comish,” Jerry Seltzer, himself!

The call-in number is (323)792-3071

You don’t want to miss this event …. so get ‘on track’ as we ‘jam’ the air waves … Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 10:00 am ED.T.
