Forgiveness: Ask God and Leave It There

Playing the hokie-pokie with God about your issues is a waste of emotional energy, which we need ALL of for the journey. Ask God and leave it there. He forgave you and FORGOT about that sin a long time ago. You are still walking around with that self-sought hurt and self-inflicted shame. You don’t understand the depth of His love or the weight of His love because you are still hostage by your own “stuff.” Trust Him at His word, which says that 1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you[a]free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:1-2. He forgives us and casts our sins away as far as the east is from the west. So how did you get them back? Just asking. What does it profit to retain them?
