Don't Mistake Kindness for Weakness

People who know me, in the real world, usually comment on how nice I am and friendly, etc. And I am.  

But often in my life people have mistook my kindness for weakness and consider me to have a split personality when I'm wronged by them.  

The truth is, they mistook my kindness for weakness. 

What are you thoughts on this? Can one be "nice" and still be strong?
