In this episode of EGUA - Marketplace, we examine the etymology and cosmology of Mehi, ritual submergence for initiation, purification and renewal which was later corrupted into 'baptism' by the whites and their offspring. We examine the roles of the Abosom (Deities) Sobek and Ausar in this ritual function in concert with the Abosom (Deities) Hapi and Merit, the male and female Abosom (Deities) of the inundation of the river.
