In this episode of EGUA - Marketplace, we address our upcoming second annual HOODOO MAYN: Hoodoo Nation Festival which will take place on October 16th in Washington, DC. This free all-day festival is open to Afurakanu/Afuraitkaitnut (Africans~Black) people only. We will have presenters addressing various aspects of Hoodoo inclusive of ritual practice, trustory, asuman (talimans, amulets), rootwork and more. Attendees can also shop with our EGUA - Marketplace vendors all day.

HOODOO MAYN, Hoodoo Nation, is a festival established to explore Akan Ancestral Religion in North america. The Hoodoo tradition was brought in name and function to North america in the blood-circles of Akan people during the Mmusuo Kese, Great Pervesity/Enslavement era. Hoodoo powered our revolutionary-resolutionary action of warfare against the whites and their offspring, forcing the end of enslavement in the western hemisphere. We have maintained our Hoodoo Religion, Akan Ancestral Religion, in our blood-circles intergenerationally and transcarnationally. Just as Hoodoo powered revolution-resolution in the past, so does it power revolution-resolution today.
