In this special episode of EGUA-Marketplace we examine our OBRADWIRA NANANOMSOM, our 7-Day New Year Observance which occurs this year from September 17-23 in Aakhuamuman Amaruka Atifi Mu (Akwamu Nation in North America). September 23rd is the Atem/Atemet Equinox and our New Year's Day - the first day of our year 13016.

We examine the structure of our observance and the Divine Ancestral wisdom teachings associated with each of the 7 days. Each day of the week in Akan culture is governed by the Abosom (Deites) who animate the solar, lunar or planetary body which governs the day. The term Odwira means 'purification' and a 'celebration of purification' in the Akan language as well as our Ancestral language of Khanit and Kamit (Nubia and Egypt). The energy of each day of the week is aligned with the related Abosom and thus provides us an opportunity to ritually align ourselves with those Spirit-Forces that regulate Creation. This is how we purify our spirits in order to enter our New Year/Cycle with clarity and focus.
