We are the 99%, or are we? Inspired by the Arab spring, thousands of protesters took to the streets of NYC to rally against the banks, and the "1 percent-ers." The original demand as stated by adbusters was to form "a presidential commission to separate money from politics – we start setting the agenda for a new America." Now the protests have spawned occupations in many cities across the United States and momentum is gathering, but where is it heading? Who provides material support and leadership? Is there a possibility that Political Action Committees and even the bankers themselves may try to guide the protests to protect their interest? Ultimately, will the occupation end up hurting the interests of the elite, or helping them?
