Join Sonia Nadina and Barry Jakel in conversation. Barry has published his latest book, Birth , Death, and as the Crow Flies. He is also excited about the NSWA's latest anthology release, Fuse.
Born in Calgary Alberta in 1948, Barry now resides on Vancouver’s North Shore. His career path included early stops in Ottawa and Calgary before beginning his goal to become a broadcaster with seventeen years in radio as an announcer and writer. It all began in 1970 with a move to 100 Mile House in British Columbia’s Cariboo Country and before it was over, his journeys took him to Quesnel, Kelowna, Vernon, and finally Vancouver’s lower mainland where he ended his broadcasting days. Barry has recently retired, after twenty-three enjoyable and memorable years in sales and marketing with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. Always an optimist, (after all, he is a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan) he is now exploring new horizons with his special life partner Maria by his side.
Barry is also author of Excuse me! Your sun is in my shadow, Follow The Heron's Flight Home and his latest Birth, Death and, as the Crow Flies. You can find his books on Blurb
