We've since seen the images of grandmothers in handcuffs because they refuse to allow any more violations of the people whose lives depend upon these sacred waters and lands. The historic redundancy of over 500 years of violent conquest of native land is a story that those dedicated to truth and justice will no longer stand silently and bear. 

The world is wathcing what people of goodwill throughout Turtle Island are going to do at this moment of significant choice. It is clear that the Trump administration is bent on forcing through their own greed-laden agenda to the benefit of their global capital partners, however there's a rising tide of deep-rooted resistance that cannot and will not allow "business as usual" to trump the long-ignored human rights of Indigenous peoples and the rights of Mother Earth.
