I am happy to welcome Lee Oskar to NWP! Lee is not only a musical genius but a very nice person.
Lee Oskar is described as a virtuoso, a hamonica whiz, a "war hero" and is generally regarded to be the best rock-blues-soul harmonica player alive today. His role as a founding member and former lead harmonica player of the pioneer funk-jazz group WAR made Lee internationally renowned for over 30 years. His signature solos helped define the War sound from the band's beginning in 1969 adding dashes of color to is R & B, jazz, rock and latin sound.
As a solo artist, Lee has had more international success and was named the Best Instrumental Artist of the Year and has been the recipient of numerous Gold and Platinum Album Awards.
War hits include, The Cisco Kid, Low Rider and Why Can't We Be Friends, just to name
It's good to talk.
