I am happy to welcome Lee Oskar to Northwest Prime!  Lee is not only a musical genius but a very nice person.

Lee Oskar is described as a virtuoso, a hamonica whiz, a "war hero" and is generally regarded to be the best rock-blues-soul harmonica player alive today. His role as a founding member and former lead harmonica player of the pioneer funk-jazz group WAR made Lee internationally renowned for over 30 years.  His signature solos helped define the War sound from the band's beginning in 1969 adding dashes of color to is R & B, jazz, rock and latin sound.

As a solo artist, Lee has had more international success and was named the Best Instrumental Artist of the Year and has been the recipient of numerous Gold and Platinum Album Awards.

War hits include, The Cisco Kid, Low Rider and Why Can't We Be Friends, just to name a few.

Lee is also an accomplished painter with his paintings selling for thousands of dollars.  In 1983 Oskar formed a company to manufacture high quality harmonicas.  His company, Lee Oskar Harmonica, sell harmonicas suited to many styles of music, including blues, folk, rock, country, reggie and latin. These are known be some of the best harmonicas made today.
