Here is your chance to ask questions and listen to Dr. Noonan talk about Noonan syndrome. If you can get on the internet you can be a part of this historic event. Wednesday February 3, 2010 – 10:00 A.M (EST) Dr. Jacqueline A. Noonan, Noonan is professor emeritus of pediatrics, University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Cardiology. Dr. Noonan who was born in Vermont and received her MD from the University of Vermont. She began her career in pediatric cardiology at the University of Iowa where she recognized children with what is now called Noonan syndrome. She went to the University of Kentucky in December 1991 and has remained on the faculty since. She served as Chief of Pediatric Cardiology for 36 years and was chairman of Pediatrics for 18 years. Although she retired in 1998 she holds a post retirement appointment and continues to work and volunteer, teaching and seeing patients throughout Eastern Kentucky. She attended the first Noonan syndrome Conference in 1997 and has attended all subsequent meetings. She continues her research interests in Noonan syndrome hoping to learn more about the natural history and possible long term problems in Noonan syndrome.
