Since 1990, school funding in New Jersey has been guided by the state Supreme Court’s decisions in Abbott v. Burke.   The rulings—and resulting school funding formulas—have not settled the issue of how to fund our schools fairly and adequately.  Please join host Ray Pinney as he discusses school funding with two guests who bring contrasting viewpoints to the issue: Senator Michael Doherty, author of the “Fair School Funding Plan,” and Geraldine Carroll, superintendent of schools in Lindenwold and chair of the Urban Superintendents Association.
