Edward "Eddie" Hart  is an American former track and field sprinter, winner of the gold medal in 4 × 100 m relay race at the 1972 Summer Olympics. Eddie Hart won the NCAA championships in 100 yd in 1970 as a University of California student.

Dave Newhouse is an Oaklander and was a long-time columnist with the Oakland Tribune.His most recent book is Disqualified with Olympian Eddie Hart.
