Did you you know you can repent and still not be saved.  People often repent because they got caught in some sin or tresspass. So often if no one had found out about our wrong doing we would be still smiling over our sin. You should never forgive a person based on their merit or self worth.  Repentance is always based on God's love in Christ Jesus sacrifice taking our place on the cross. Never consider how good a friend that person was to you in practicing forgiveness only consider the goodness of Jesus
