(REBROADCAST)
NCEBCTalkRadio will debut with "The Gifting of Education" welcoming the expertise of Dr. Yvette Jackson. Yvette is an internationally respected educator whose resume includes Executive Director of Gifted and Talented Programs for New York City, as well as Executive Director for Curriculum & Instruction in NYC.
Dr. Jackson will speak passionately about the disproportionate representation of black and brown schoolchildren in special education and the lack of participation of students of color in gifted and talented programs.
NCEBCTalkRadio will focus on providing answers to improving the achievement trajectory of black and brown students. In the words of former Congressman Augustus F. Hawkins, founder of NCEBC, “Black children are the proxy for what ails American education in general. And so, as we fashion solutions which help black children, we fashion solutions which help all children.”
