Join Host Joe Lisi (former ABC Sports college football researcher) as he speaks with former Iowa Hawkeyes and NFL player Ladell Betts about his outstanding career in Iowa and his NFL experience for the Washington Redskins and New Orleans Saints.

Betts was recruited by legendary former Iowa Hawkeye coach Haden Frye and played for current head coach Kirk Ferentz for three seasons. He is the only Iowa players to lead the team in rushing in four different seasons and finished his outstanding career #2 on the Iowa Hawkeyes All-Time Rushing list.

In his Hawkeye career, Betts rushed for 3,686 yards averaging 4.4 yards per carry and had 25 touchdowns. He also added 72 receptions for 702 receiving yards in his career.

Betts was drafted in the 2nd round by the Washington Redskins in the 2002 NFL draft and played from 2002-2009 with the Redskins and 2010 with the New Orleans Saints.

In his NFL career,  Betts rushed for 3,326 yards averaging 4.4 yards per carry and had 15 touchdowns.
