JL:onathan ‘JL’ Locke (born April 30th, 1983) is an American recording artist. He became known in Chicago as a producer making beats for local independent artists. As a singer/songwriter he released his first official mixtape, “A Taste of JL” Hosted by The Mixtape Bully DJ V-Dub, in the winter of 2009. JL also partnered with his Columbia College class-mate to start a new record label, TerJon Records.
