A living sacrifice

We see people sacrifice all the time, a mother for her children, a parent for the kids to have something they could not get as a child.  One spouse takes a "lesser" career route to help the family function.  We get this in a lot of places, but we may not get it when we think of serving Jesus.

A saved person has to do some things different.  They have to forgive, they have to have some fruit- love, joy, peace... Galatians chapter 5.  They have to be willing to give up some personal things to be of help to the Christian and the Christian way of seeking out and sharing the Gospel with the lost world.
