Hip-Hop Recording Artist Larry Henderson A.K.A. Lak (pronounced LOCK) is the ‘hip-hop educator’ featured on international media outlets including CBS and London FM radio.  He is the co-founder, CEO, recording artist and co-executive producer of Smart Music Entertainment.  Lak has created a new sound called educational hip-hop soul music, a blend of educational lyrics, ill metaphors, a hypnotic flow, and underground hip-hop beats.  His new album, Lesson One: Hip-Hop & Education has hit Amazon.com bestseller lists, reaching #1 in Hot New Releases and #8 in Educational Music.  As CBS says, Lesson One is “creative, innovative and informative.” He has also been featured in a number of magazines and newspapers including Ripple Effect, Dominion of New York: The Best In Black New York, The Urban Times, News Magazine to name a few. He has also been featured as a guest on numerous radio and television programs.

Songs on Lesson One hit on topics such as money management, African-American impact, female empowerment, history, politics and more.  Listeners will be impressed that even though Lak's music is educational, the soul and integrity of hip-hop music is not compromised.  The Urban Times says, “Lak is taking the reigns from the ‘higher powers’ who control hip-hop and bringing it back to its original essence.
